the problem: I can hold more the 5 psi.

Ive been working all after noon and last night on trying to find a boost leak. Anyway I was doing some search on here and I ran across a post that said remove the line to the wastegate... well when I do that I can boost as much as I push the throttle down. So its either the MBC or the wastegate. What are some good test to figure out which is the cause?

it was the mbc, I'll give more details later. time to go cruise!

 

here is how I figured it out.

I connected a electric air pump to mbc and the boost gauge, I found it wouldnt let more than 5 psi through so I moved it to to 7 psi where I wanted it.
