I am really getting frustrated with this shell that I bought off of Mr. Sparkle on h-t. First off it was a automatic originally...he never felt the need to tell me that. We did the transaction at night time and I should have checked everything but I saw the car running with a b16/manual swap in it a couple of nights before the took out the swap so I didnt think anything of it. Well to make a long story short he ended up pulling the motor and I bought it as a shell...a messed up one...but whatevers..
This is in a 93 civic ex.
I put a stock d16z6 motor in to just turn around and sell because the body had been in an accident also..something that he forgot the mention again...I got everything in.
correct wire harness(93 civic ex manual harness)
manual p28
I went to turn on the car...just turned the ignition on a couple times to prime the fuel. Went to crank it over but it is dead. Nothing. No check engine light or anything. I even changed out the starter in the car. Battery has enough juice. What else is there? Anyone else ever have this problem?
All you auto-manual converter experts please help me out. I need to get this car out of my garage and the potential buyer needs the car bad. Ive searched around but there is nothing specific about what you need to do. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Sorry i posted this in the hybrid forum also. I just need this car running asap. Thanks again.

check all your grounds.. sounds like it could just be that. if not check the wire that plugs into the starter make sure its getting a sold connection. and check all your fuses under the dash. and in the engine bay.. later

Does the car turn over and just not start? or does it just sit there and do nothing when you turn the key? Do your accessories come on (are you getting power into the car and it's just not starting)?

the car does not even turn over..it seems like the starter isnt getting any juice. the accessories come on when in ignition. I even jumped the starter and it still didnt work(with another running car's battery)...
Anyone else got any ideas??

you need to jump/connect the wires to the neutral/safety switch, should be located by the shifter, the 2 thick wires

the thing is that the car was running fine without this done to it with the previous owner...all he did was take out the swap and engine bay wire harness...i can understand what you guys are saying but it doesnt make sense to me how it worked before but doesnt now...
i think its the automatic switch..csaue i did my own transmission conversion...u need to either set the automatic gear switch to park or netruel to start the car..that should be the case

Hey, back from the dead!. i was just curious to ask a question for anybody whos done one of these swaps.. Ive been reading about the neutral safety switch, and as well as the gear selector.
I set my gear selector to park, and siliconed it in place.. My question is, do i have to jump the neutral safety switch ALSO? or do i just have to keep it in park? much appreciated, Ron

wasssup dkim48...i bought that blue crx shell from u a while back....sorry to hear about ya car not starting. ive been there on several occasions.
check the connection between the engine bay harness and the dash harness on the passenger side. see if the thick black/yellow wires are connected. That had us stumped for a minute on my project. just check to see if u are get power to the fuse box under the dash. hope these work for ya.
