I'm stuck here in the lower part of Alabama and I really don't want to trust any of the local redneck machine shops with any part of my build, but at the same time it seems like shipping my block to anywhere worthy might cost a pretty good bit.
Any ideas or experiences with shipping large stuff long distance?
Does anyone know of any decent machine shops that I could possibly haul my block too in the southeast? I don't mind taking a 5hr drive or so if it means quality work.

That's good to know. I planned on sending him my head anyway. Maybe I can just road trip it up there one weekend and just pay for shipping back or something.

I'm thinking it would be pretty darn expensive through UPS, maybe I'm wrong though. I guess a bare block wouldn't be very big at all now that I think about it.
