what would be some reasons for the oil light to come on?
my first assumption is the oil pump....but could it be something else?
when the oil light comes on, it only comes on after i hit boost. then it keeps coming on and off at different times after that. it turns off as fast as it comes on. sometimes it looks like just a quick flash.
any ideas?

Yeah, it could be the oil pump...
But I'm leaning more towards your turbo oil line routing - perhaps there is a leak or a kink in the hose somewhere?
Or maybe you're just low on oil.

nah....i checked the oil and it had the right amount of oil.
i'm going to take the oil feed line off the weekend and check it.

What you just described happened to a friend of mine two weeks ago. Exact description. Turned out the oil pump had just started chewing its self up.

Inside the oil pump is a sliding relief valve, if it's gunked up that could be the cause of your problem.
