Default Thermostat Q

First off, yes... I have searched
Now to the question. I have a 1st gen b16a in my crx and I want to replace the thermo in it (no heat atm and im praying this is why). Which thermo. should I get? thanks!

running without a themo will not cause ur car not to have a heater.

some else is wrong I am running without no themo car takes a **** load off time to warm up.. but when its warmed up it gives normail heat

well just depends on where u live, that guy is in ohio, where as ur in cali.. big temp difference.. his motor probalby never gets hot enough to make heat.. where as in cali the temps are much warmer ur car runs hotter..
i'm in TX, and i run without a thermo.. i have decent heat, but on the really cold night.. i think it was like 20 degrees (yeah don't laugh) the heater didn't seem to be very warm.. so i can only imagine it would be weigh less at even lower temp
go with a stock Honda one.. the aftermarket ones always crap out

well, like i said... im praying this is the reason... and the thermostat is the cheapest to replace atm.

I replaced mine with a autozone brand haven't had any problems.

I used a Medium temp. one for a 90-91 Integra I believe.

No thermostat? Umm, why not? Weight savings...haha...jk

according to autozone, site, all b18c integras and d16z6, d16y8 civics have the same part number for thermostats, so the b16 should be the same part number as well.

driving without a themostat will cause very bad gas mileage

unless you like bad gas mileage don't do it
