Default iac and map code on itr swap with p28

hey all. i have a 94 si with a itr swap w/ a chipped p28. i didn't do the engine wiring ( i was in a wheelchair at the time) i tapped into a few wires for guages (3 wires: oil press switch ground for oil press light, white on o2 sensor for halmeter, and coil negative for shift light) now for the problem. i start it up, and immediately she starts jumping from 1,500 rpm to 2,000, back and forth. i am getting a MAP code and IAC code. i'm thinking i disturbed something in the harness that was shaky to begin with when i was moving the harness around to gain access to solder the few wires i added. i know the MAP is good, i swapped over a good one. as for the IAC, i am thinking it is good because the car was fine before i messed with it. anyone have any ideas where to start? i plan on pulling the harness, and starting from scratch but any info will be much appreciated. thanks.

Did you check the tps sensor? I had a B18C5 swap in a '95 EX and we actually converted the car to OBD II (A nightmare I don't recommend). It sounds like your car may have a TPS sensor problem. I may be wrong, but it's worth checking.

Erratic idle can be a symptom of an unadjusted TPS sensor. It may be that your TPS sensor needs adjusting to the correct voltage at WOT. Check the below thread for more information:

most likely there is a problem with the wiring for the IAC and MAP.
Sometimes people reverse the TPS and MAP connectors because they look the same.
I would check that.

h-pimp & kayos: i will look into the tps. maybe one of the wires has shorted. as far as adjusting it, i didn't take it apart, do they just go out of wack? thanks for the positive input, i appreciate it.
