Slightly louder. Its sounds loud at WOT, but not as loud as AEM. IMO it has a very good deep agressive sound. No flames but IMO it sounds way better than AEM. Quick give me a bucket of water here comes the flames!

Thank you, but it looks like I won't be needing that firehose. Phew I thoght it was going to get heated for sure. Oh well cool thing it didn't. I guess everyone can agree with me. When I say Comptech Icebox is the best intake in the world. Haha the world. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah ha ha ha. Oops my fault didn't mean to get so out of hand.

Just wondering... will the comptech icebox clear any A/C lines?....and maybe if anyone know.. will the ARC Intake and Box Clear them as well?

 

I don't remember what stock sounds like. I had the AEM on weeks after buying the car. I put the Icebox on a month ago. I like the Icebox better. It has a much nicer sound (to me), and the power delivery is much smoother and more uniform than with the AEM. I'll still throw the AEM back on if I want the sound, but I think the Icebox is a better intake. The Icebox also fits a lot better than the AEM did. I have no clearance problems anywhere with it. Install did take a little longer though.

yes, you can

 

probably sound almost stock with the rubber inake hose, i have the full setup (aluminum short ram & icebox), a bit louder than stock, very nice, deep growl on VTEC (deep, considering it's above 6000 RPM). I get many compliments at autoX on the sound of my R compared to stock or AEMed GS-Rs.
