dont.

build up a B20A5 instead, or a JDM B20A

the B21A1 cylinder liners aren't very durable and the engine will wear prematurely. it's probably one of Honda's worst engines. Finding one in good shape is almost impossible.

a B20A5 would be best, as the JDM B20A has higher compression...

you mean a CR-V motor?

it woudln't be a straight swap that's for sure (with a B20B)... although the engine in G3 ludes are B-series, they are fairly different than the newer B series in the civics and civic based cars (integra, CRV). you can do it, but it's easiest to stick with a B20A

as for resleeving the B21A1, it's kind of a pain because it's one of Honda's first engines to use fiber-reinforced sleeves (they aren't iron) - like the NSX, H22's and S2000 engines. problem is these first gen fiber sleeves didn't have great durability and hence the problems of the B21. If you put new ones in, you'd just have a motor that would burn oil (turbo'ed) after 50k for sure.
You could put in iron sleeves i guess, but i'm not sure if those are even available. that's the thing with B21A1's, getting all the parts can be hard because it was only produced for 2 years, and not in the most common car.

whatever you do make sure you check the price and availability of all your parts...

sweet but hard and expensive to do right.

entirely possible though...but then no room for turbo that's for sure

theB20B and the B20A are pretty much completely different, the B20B is more like the B16/17/18 from the newer tegs and civics. while the B20A or B21A is mainly prelude. very few similarities, like the cam gears, flywheel, and cams are quite close but i think need to be machined to fit.

also, one of the first guys with an H22 swap who i believe is on this site, has a H22 Turbo, putting somthing like 415 to the wheels in a 3rd gen prelude. pretty ******* sick too.

first off, is this going into a 3rd gen prelude at all????
if so, your best bet is the B20A5, or get a JDM B20A. but you say that you are going to rebuild it and build it for boost, well, the B20A and B21 are pretty much the same motor with minor differences. so as long as you are going to resleeve the block you doesnt really matter. and the B20B would be about as much work as the H22 to swap in because they utelize different motor mounts, and dont sit the same way as the the B20/21 A motors.

if this is going into a civic or teg or something i have a feeling that you are looking for the B20B which would be more suited for those cars and less custom work to install.
