P28 hondata in 1992 eg with H22 questions.
Currently i am running a chipped p13 ecu in my 1992 dx h22 hatch. I have the chance to pick up a hondata p28. My question is how many people run this in their h22 eg? What do you do about the IAB's? I know people say remove them, but i noticed a big difference between having my iabs hooked up and not hooked up when i first did the engine swap.
So, if you could just post your experience with it if you have it and any recommendations that would be great.
Thanks.

Gotta question about this. What part of vtec do you splice this wire into? Vtec pressure switch? Or Vtec solnoid?
Also, can someone explain how you can get around this? Completely do away with IAB all together? How?

As you all should know the intake manifold can be taken apart into many pieces. One such peice is the plenium which has an upper piece, the IABs, then the lower piece that attaches to the actual manifold runners. By simply unscrewed 4 bolt/nut combinations on the top of the plenium you can life it off and take off the IAB plate all together then just reassemble..
My recommendations for those using the p28 ECU are to either get a chip that controls that function which are available now, or just to run a vacumn line to the solenoid on the IAB to simulate them opening and closing during the RPM band. Or lastly you can hook up a switch to it..

hmm...... my problem is i dont have anythig like what you have in your picture. I dont have that black sensor or whatever that thing is with the single wire connector on it. As a matter of fact, i dont even have that nipple on the intake manny that your little IAB valve is inline with.
Could hooking any of these vacuum lines incorrectly cause the motor to bog really bad? I cant seem to get any power whatsoever.
I need help!
