Results of Compression test and I think I found my problems!!!
Well, I don't know if this did anything but I checked the compression on the car cold last night. The car hasn't driven in a week and I wanted to do a compression test on it to see if the oil I was losing had to do with bad rings or anything of the soert. Well, I got 175-175-180-175, so I think that it is safe to say that my oil loss issue doesnt have to do with bad rings or anything. I also had a cooling problem issue where my coolant has just disappeared even when the motor was unboosted. The coolant hose that goes back into the intake manifold was a little wet, and the back of the head and block area was black and looked wet. Looks like I need a new hose and clamp to see if that fixes it. Also, I noticed where my oil was going I think. The oil temperature sending unit on the Greddy adaptor plate I have is definately leaking, and would explain why it is slowly losing oil. Now, since I did the compression test with the car cold do the numbers I have truly show the compression of the motor or should I do it warm?
What compression is this motor? You should have doent he compression test with the motor at normal temp and with the throttle full open. Also disconnect the distributor plugs while your cranking
YEa, that was with all the plugs unplugged and with the throttle wide open. I am aware with the fact that it won't get a good reading until the car is warm, but the car doesn't have a wastegate on it at the moment and I need to nab one before I can think of doing that.
You have to do it at OP temp to get an accurate reading. Everything in there expands as it ehats up, so your numbers should be higher at OP temp.
BEcause I am running an external wastegate, and I sold the wastegate on my car so I could get a new Tial 38mm wastegate. If I start the ****** up then ill blow hot f-ing air into my hood.

Leave the hood open and let the car idle.
Leave the hood open and let the car idle.
Probally will do that actually, or I can wait till next week when I get my wastegate. As for my disappearing coolant issue, I believe I found it on the coolant line running into the intake manifold.
