ehh I have 2 CRVs and none of them have this problem. Sounds like a maintenance issue to me.

Mines has 80,xxx niles on it and it's still runnin good (knock on wood). Just normal oil changes since I bought the car at 30,xxx miles nothing else. I know.... It's needs some maintenence ASAP. But I have to say it's been taking a beating.

btw are your valves tapping really bad?

The bulletin he was speaking of is #03-038.

It covers CEL codes #P0301 & P0302 & P0303 & P0304 &/or P0172

This applies to ALL of the 1999 to 2001 CRV's

bump
I have an '07 CRV with 39,000 miles that just got the CEL p0303 code. No prior symptoms, but as soon as the CEL light up each time I started up the engine it sounded worse.
Took it to the dealership under the extended engine warranty and they proceeded to:
Change the spark plugs and coils, performed an injector balance test and a valve adjustment.
They found the valves were a little off, but nothing has fixed the problem, so they are getting in touch with Honda Technical Services to figure it out.
Any ideas??
