weird acceleration problem, only a few seconds after the car is running
The problem is after I start my car, and go to accelerate down the road, my car feels like it's not getting any fuel, and will bog out for a few seconds, and then the throttle kicks in and drives normally from there on.. It doesn't matter if the car is cold or warm running temp..
I've replaced my dizzy cap, rotor button, spark plugs and fuel filter.. and even my ECU. I'm not getting any check engine lights and it's definitely not low in fuel because i've had the problem for over 2,000 miles now.. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

help, considering the distributor as the culprit still, but why would it only happen for a few seconds after the car is cranked.. i'm running an OBD1 ECU now so that rules out the OBD2a added features (sensors)

sounds like a missfire?? but no cel.. wierd, u sure the light on ur cel is working?? (just a thought) maybe to make sure un plug a sensor or something.....
Edit: come to think about it, one of my spark plugs was damp, causing a slight missfire one time but didnt kick on a cel i dont think.. check ur plugs.

Had the same problem, changed plugs and wires...problem went away. That's the only help I can offer, lol.

i guesss plug wires are the only thing left to change aside from the distributor

before you go and drop coin on parts...have the spark plug wires measured out with a meter. at least check them for continuity first and then check them for resistance. they could be fine and you would be wasting money on un-needed parts.
