Question for the Welders out there
I have recently recieved a bargain I couldnt pass up on a used midpipe (free).
Its in fine condition, but before I install it, I was wondering about how I could get rid of a few lumps of slag that are hanging in the area where the flanges were welded on. One is like a drip that is about .25" by .25". On the other end its a blob that is .75" wide and .25" tall.
Should I be able to use a dremel or a rasp to remove these, or should I go rent a cutting torch, or should I have a pro do it? I've never welded before, just soldered.

Just grind it off with whatever tool/method you have available. Die grinder, drill with proper attachment, Dremel.....anything along those lines should work.
