What are the advantages/disadvantages to mounting the BOV on the end tank (Full Race)
Just like the topic asks,
heres a pic

Why would you mount it on the end tank as opposed to mounting it on the charge pipe?
This is the first time Ive seen it set up on an end tank, got me curious

I just recently moved my blow-off valve to that loation and am happy with it. I have many good discussions with various members on this board and was convinced of it benefit.
what are the benefits? is the only benefit the fact that there is theoretically more protection for the turbo?

You're going to get various opinions on this mounting location vs the usual CAC pipe mounting location. You're best bet is to look over the older posts....there are a few that focus on this subject. Make your own decision...that is my best suggestion.

One benefit that I see is that there is slightly less work for the intercooler to do. Instead of making the intercooler cool a charge and then releasing it with a valve mounted near the throttle body, you are relieving the intercooler from having to cool that air that is released. It seems minor but could keep the intercooler at a lower temperature by releasing the hot air before it gets there.
