Default Your thoughts on Royal Purple

How many of you have used royal purple? I've been using Mobil 1, but I've heard some pretty good things about Royal Purple, so how many of you prefer it over Mobil 1?

It's purple........

Check out http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/ if you seach for info on Royal Purple oil tests you may find some interesting info. These guys know alot about oils
I won't use Royal Purple oils, I stick to RedLine, Mobil1, or Amsoil oils mainly because I have no reasons to change. Royal Purple may be right for your needs....maybe not. I don't think there is a simple yes or no answer. When I looked into it (and this was awhile ago) it seemed that some engines got great resutls with RP oils and some did not.
You would almost need to see oil tests to see what is going on.

My brother used to use mobil 1 always in his turbo 95 gsr.... We tried switching to royal purple once and there was a ton less oil burn. We were very suprised, and have always used it since. Not saying its for everyone, but ive seen multiple tests of V8 cars picking up 5-10whp from a switch to royal purple... It could have been rigged but I dont care either way... It worked for us at the time and thats all that matters
