there are many threads on types of oil and why to use them. a search will give you more info than i can i would guess.
but here i go anyway... i've heard that synthetic is dangerous if you haven't used it before and you have over 150k on your motor. otherwise pick what your bank account agrees with the most. if you can afford syntec use that. personally i trust it and it's easy to find. i've got it in my y7 and when i switched from conventional to syntec i could feel a mild increase in "peppieness." also i don't feel as bad about running it hard here and there since the synthetic is in it, but that's probably all in my head.
