Well if you have a USDM prelude there is no limiter. I don't recally what JDM ludes are limited to.

Did any USDM Honda come with a speed govenor?
I think the JDM Preludes are limited to 109 mph, but as always, I could be wrong.

 

JDM 94 and up H22a cuts out at 120.mph at that is in fourth gear that **** **** me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Got my 93 h22a1 up to 140...so I don't think mine has a govener...

You won't hit a speed governor... however, IF you manage to make enough power to overcome your cam profiles, you'll hit rev limiter at around 140-145 or so.

And that is one sound that's cool as hell... doin' 145 past a fuggin' Mustang, and you're bouncing it off the rev limiter and he's just trying to keep up. I love it.

Nope, I'm saying that there is no speed governor on USDM preludes. I'm pretty sure every production honda ever made has a rev limiter.

i was just about to ask if they were the same thing, and i remembered that the speed governor will actually shut down the engine at a certain speed. ok, now i see what you are saying. never mind.

 

it is a jdm motor so...... and my speedo doesn't work, so of course i have no idea how fast i'm going, just shift into 5th and........
