Top speed limiter
I did a search and found nothing, so my question is this: I have seen people say that their JDM B18C has a top speed limiter/governor at 120 mph. I have also seen people say that they have gone 150 mph in their USDM B18C1. Do the USDM B18C ECU's not have a top speed limiter, or is it set higher than the gearing will allow it to reach? Thanks.

Re: Top speed limiter (22lbGS-R)
Thanks guys. One more thing, is the gearing the same for both JDM and USDM? The reason I ask is that I am doing a swap soon and I am stuck on whether to buy a JDM or USDM engine. Has anyone used a USDM ECU on a JDM engine? Any problems?

Re: Top speed limiter (GRHatchMan)
well, half of my engine was jdm, so, no there are no problems with running a jdm ecu on a usdm engine. but i might suggest getting a chipped ecu or a socketed one so you can swap out chips (mugen, spoon, etc.) thats what im doin now that i dont have to worry about boost on my new project.
