getting my facts straight...
As a general rule of thumb can most modern engines (not just honda) run upto 7PSI of boost without any internal engine modifications? if the timing is retarded slightly and fuelling incresed due to bigger injectors and the charge is intercooled how long can i expect then engine to last (on averege, if there is such a thing)
thanks in advance

...Theoretically u should be fine for a while...but reality one can never really know....I'm planning on running about 7-8 psi soon(hopefully)...and I don't really know how long my **** will last!Maybe the question should be stated like this
What are the most kilometers/miles anyone has got out of their motors running mild boost(6-8 psi) with proper fuel management considering the motor was healthy to begin with?
i believe it would last a very long time. be sure to have it tune with a safe a/f ratio. after that, follow the necessary maintenance like change oil, check your plugs once in a while, check for leaks once in a while, and check your boost gauge to see if you're wastegate is still functioning properly and regulating boost.
out of interest how many miles do you guys get out of low boost stock engine setups? Are these engines able to withstand long/hard running times?
and finally... should i expect to blow a head gasket or two while getting the tuning right? if so i'll order a thicker head gasket now to lower compression
