Default help me find the correct catalytic converter!

I did the B16 swap on my brother's car last year, and I knew it was only a matter of time before the POS exhaust rusted through. Well, it finally happened, and he pulled a dragging catalytic converter throught the streets of St. Louis for 30 miles last week.

Anyway, he's pieced together a good system, but doesn't know which cat application to use. Here's what he has got so far:

Car: 1993 civic EX coupe w/B16A swap

header: DC 4-2-1 stainless header

exhaust: Magnaflow Stainless 2.25" catback, model 15641

I told him I didn't know which cat to use. He wants a hi-flow that will be the right length and where all the bolt holes will line up correctly. Should he get a del Sol one? RS/LS/GSR integra?

Help us!

i have done many b series swaps in 92-95 civics and i have found that if you use a 94-2001 integra LS header and CAT then you can retain the 92-95 civic CATBACK system. without having to get anythign welded by a muffler shop. i had to di this many times all i did was unbolt the stock EG cat and bolt on teh LS CAT and then bolt up the LS HEADER. so in reality u can get a after market LS header and LA CAT and should not have to go to a mufler shop.

hope that helps

We've had the same Carsound on 3 different cars so far for almost 4 years, and no complaints at all.

thanks nextelbuddy, that helps alot. it's exactly what I was looking for.

We had thought about doing the muffler shop thing, but it just didn't make sense to have get a full stainless steel sytem and then pay a muffler shop to weld in a small section of mild steel that will rust out in 2 yrs with the midwest road salt he drives in.

also, will a 94+ LS header hang a little lower than a B16A one due to deck height differences? I know I'd heard that about GSR/ITR headers on B16s. My brother's car is lowered a little, so the header might be the first part to contact the road.

Also, you're saying the exh mani flange bolt pattern is the same on an LS as a VTEC header right?
