Default Keychain doorlock and alarm setup

One of my relatives friends recently installed a keychain alarm and door unlock setup on his Jimmy. He said that it was really hard, remind you this guy engineered his own hydrolic soda can crusher, has anyone done this? I was thinking about installing one on my car. Basically, I was wondering if it's as hard on the prelude as it is on this guys vehicle.

you mean keyless entry and an alarm? really hard?
no, but involved and a bit tricky if you want to do it clean. if you can read a schematic and understand electrical systems (how to probe wires, how to wire relays), it really isn't hard at all in the prelude.

Keyless entry and alarm, duh! Okay, I'll search under that and see if I can't bring up more info later. Thanks alot. I know someone who use to install car alarms so that'd help to. Thanks again.

Someone did a really nice writeup about how to install the alarm on here. Search for it... I put the alarm in but haven't attached the door locks to it yet. It is a PITA to do but better than having your **** stolen.

The install was written by PetroGuy X with pictures:

I followed that install, but found that some of the wires were in different places on my car, plus I wired mine up for a horn output instead of siren.... soooo I wrote up a little something as well:
