junkyard set-ups are mint i had it on my zc ran 9 psi everyday for 10 monyhs pulled it and now have a ls turbo got a new t3 from garret and had a manifold made running 18psi daily drivin starion front mount any way before I built the ls I was running 14 psi on a stock motor no problems just make sure you have enough fuel and spark a b16 could deff handle 12-14 psi but for how long is another story

We have a little info pertaining to that

http://www.homemadeturbo.com

I've worked with several D16/Probe/Mx6 turbo setups.

anywhere from 3psi up to 11 is perfect for b16. sure the motor will hold like 17 but, the only problem is it will not hold for long amount of time on stock internals.
like my friend with his 95 gsr found out the hard way because he wouldnt listen to me .11psi on 11-1 comp. is pussing it but 15 and higher is gonna blow your motor.Unfortunately he did blow it, it just wasnt tuned right and he had dentination problems so he ended up melting a piston and rings . another problem you will run into if you dont have the right stuff to keep your engine and turbo properly tuned.

I'd imagine the only difference between junkyard boosting a b series against a d series would be the exhaust manifold, space and higher cr.
