Default How much can I safely bore out my B16 to?

Im building a B16 block for mild turbo use and wanted to bore out the stock sleeves. Is 81.25mm good or can I go a little more? I wanted to do this safely without sleeving it. Im gonna also put in a block guard.

AFAIK it is barely 1.7.

Anyway, I think you should leave your STOCK sleeves alone. If you sleeve it then bore it out to 84mm, some people even go 84.5mm but I like to start at 83mm.

84 to 84.5mm sleeved will yield about 1.7L.

81.5mm is fine with a blockguard, just make sure the machine shop installs and and makes sure everything is all straight with the blockguard on.
