was is civic a 96-00 cx, if so i think they don't have the wires for the tach. You might have to wire it from ecu to the plug.

The cx and dx are both wired for the tach, even though neither come with it. You should just be able to plug it in and be good.

it already wired in the harness. no need to add or tap anything.

im not too familiar with 96+ but i believe you just pull out the 3 4 plugs they have

behind the factory cluster and plugs it up to the Si cluster.

theres no separate plug . the wire will be within the two plugs you already have... the tach wire will be i think the solid blue wire.. at least it is with the 92-95 civics.

unplug the 3 plugs on the stock cluster. plug them into the si cluster. THERE IS NO TACH WIRE, IT IS ALAREADY IN THE HARNESS, JUST PLUG THE 3 PLUGS IN AND BAM YOUR DONE

yeah...just plug those 3 harnesses into the cluster....

the yellow plug on the back if for cruise control which that car does not nor will ever have.

if the guy has a monster tach, he should've tapped the wires not cut them off completely

I just put the si cluster in my 96 civic dx and it went with no problems, just plug in all the existing harnesses. My tach works along with all the rest of the cluster.

I'm picking up a 96 Cx in the morning. I think the Si cluster will be my first mod

The 3 harness plugs that you took off your stock cluster will be the only three plugs you put in your new cluster. Don't worry about anything else on the harness or the new cluster.
