Default odometer,,and MPH guage dont work(94 si with b18a1 turbo)

i let my car set for about 2 weeks,,while test fitting a 3 inch DP
and when i put the old 2.5 inch pipe back on,,and installing a new o2 sensor,
i go to drive the car,,and the odometer,,and MPH guage dont work

now i have looked into the seach's on here,
and thought it was the VSS,,but i got a good VSS from a buddy,,and it still didnt work
i dont think there are any fuses for this prob r there???

i took the cluster out,,and all the wire,,r snapped in good,

i dont know what to look for if a weld is broke on the back??
anyone got a pic??

i didnt mess with anything besides,,the DP,,mmbut about 2 weeks before i took the DP off,,i hooked up a universal o2 sensor,,from bosch

do u think i shoulc check that??

any help would b great??

also,,is this gonna hurt performance??
i know on cars with VTEC,,it wont engage it if your odometer,,and MPG are not working

but i have a 93 ls motor,
will this affect my perf??

after i install the new 3 inch DP,,i was gonna dyno tune it too 11 psi(now runnin 8)

also,,is there any way to check if the 2 VSS's i have are good??
please explain in detail,
thanks
mike
