Default oil pressure in CRX...

can somebody please tell me the oil pressure on a ZC engine? Also does anyone know how adding a turbo will affect the oil pressure? my gauge reads about 90-100 on idle
thanks

My manual says 1.4 bar at idle--which converts to 20.31 psi.

when the engine is cold and the oil is still tick the pressure wil be pretty high

now, once the engine is hot and the oil also, the pressure should be around 10-12 psi on idle and 50psi on 3000rpms

oh dear, as i said before i seem to be getting around 80-100 which seems a little high. could this be due to too much or too litlle oil? or could it be due to adding the turbo? or could i just have a crap gauge. The gauge is made by "race X" and is electronic not mechanical. which are more precise in everyones experience?
any help is greatly appreciated
thanks

You may be having leakdown trouble. The turbos boost could be getting into the oil passages causing higher numbers. Electric senders are the most reliable and safest. If a line to a mech guage goes in the cockpit of your car it could create a real nasty situation. I would buy or borrow a handheld pressure guage and test the car. That would isolate the guage and sender as good or bad.

IMO
mechanical are better due to they are more pressise and acurate
they are and have a continous real time readin...... no electronic room for failure..
if u have a failure on a mechanical means u didnt do it right in the first place.....
i have the Sunpro gauge, and i have a copper line to it, and i love the presicion, and even it works as a knock sensor, because when i spun a bearing on my mini me , i heard it clearly tru the copper line vibrations.......
