By problems, I mean blown headgaskets, busted internals anything that would have been messed by a turbo. How long have you run your engine wihtout stuff like this happening. This question goes to anybody thats not running a lot of boost.

I ran a d16 turbo for about a year with no probs, head gaskets are inevitable

I've been running the same stock turbo ls engine for almost a year now with no problems at all. I don't baby the car either, it sees boost EVERY day on the way to school and work. and gets driven about 200 miles back and forth to south florida every month or so.

first 6 months- 8 psi greddy blue box, 310cc injectors.
next couple months - 17 psi,used crome (pgmfi.org), 450cc
last 2 months - 20+ psi, hondata, 550cc, 308whp

proper engine management is the key to reliability with boost. NO fmus, afcs, etc..get it tuned and you'll have no problems.

7 months on my d-series.
1 month at 6psi.
1 month at 8psi.
5 months at 10psi with 11psi spike/creep.
during thanksgiving i cranked it up to 12psi and still have an engine. turned it back to 10-11psi though for safe measure.

cool, good to know. I'm definitely going turbo as soon as I can afford it. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't to bad on the engine. But I do belive that with a properly tuned engine at at modest amount of boost(under 10psi most likely) I should be fine for awhile. Next question is who wants to donate to the "Boost Todd's EG Club?" For ONLY $100 I will give you a life membership.
