Default 93 civic si???

i found a car that i'm looking into buying this week, and i don't really know what type of engine it has. the valve cover doesn't have a vtec written on it, does it mean its non-vtec? its a 93 civic si hatchback. let me know guys!

unless its been swapped, the si has a vtec engine in it..

the car itself looks pretty stock. the thing is that i'm unsure if it has vtec or not..because of the valve cover because it doesn't have the "vtec" on the cover. it just says the honda sign. its an si remember....

only 94-95 ex/si civics in US has vtec on SOHC valve covers... no others has it. look for selonoid... who kares if its vtec or not.. swap in a B in there... i did... i gave my z6 away to my friend for a set of 98 GSR rims...

ya i was wondering why my 93 si DID say vtec on the valve cover since i heard that 92-93 si's dont say vtec on them, but then i remebered mine is canadian.

93 Si, same car as mine. Excellent choice man. I had a CX previous to owning the Si. I wanted the power everything and thoroughly love it.

ya but you could of added all those toys (cept for sunroof, wich add 400 extra pound for nothing)

93 Si's are sweet. Nice interiors. Kinda heavy but no matter.

I went from Si to Dx to Cx to Si. lol and now I may be switching once again...
