93 sol si
my friend just bought a 93 del sol si, it has the D16z6 engine....i think. the head cover just says honda motor company, but his mechanic says that it is a vtec. Is that true?

My '94 Si has a D16Z6 SOHC VTEC, and the valve cover does say "VTEC." I know that some of the SOHC VTEC valve covers don't say VTEC, but I thought they came later, not earlier.
The engine code is stamped on the front of the engine block, next to the transmission.
