dual shock sensor...warn away chirp wont work
I have a viper 791vx alarm that came with its dual shock sensor. the problem is i can't get the warn away chirp to engage. the 2nd stage works just fine and sets off the siren if hit hard enough. i have the settings set really sensitive. anyone know what's wrong?
maybe your 1st stage is set too sensitive relative to your 2nd.
Try this - turn your 2nd stage down completly, and turn your warn/1st stage up completly. Now go try beating the car a bit, if you get your warn chirps, you know that its a sensitivity problem (put the warn chirp down a bit, and only move your 2nd stage up a quarter)
If you still can't get the 1st stage to go with it turned up high and your 2nd turned all the way low, you might have a wiring problem. This can easily be checked by checking the voltages on the wire going to the sensor (power, ground, one for 1st stage, one for 2nd) i belive they use negative logic, so the stage wires goto 0v to use a warn (not sure about this one..but just tap and watch while you try to set it off)

the DEI dual stage shock sensors only have 1 sens adjustment IIRC. What you have to do is really lightly hit the tire. It will do the chirping warn away. my guess is the way you have it mounted and the sensitivity level are working against you. The way they both work out is you can't hit it just right to get the warn way... it's jumping right to the full trigger
