Got $ 1200 dollars to spend need help on what to get for more power????
When you live in Alaska you get a dividend of about 2 grand each year and this year we get them on the 5th of OCT. I have a 94 gs-r with intake, dc header, skunk2 mani, and a type r intake cam. I already know that I am getting a tanabe RM exhaust, but need help on what else to get. Either it be port and polish job or for now just extrude hone my intake manifold and get the exhaust r cam with a b&m fuel pressure regulator and gauge. Need help on choosing. I am going all motor too
1200-500 or so for the RM....so 700 or so..... I would get the Set of R cams, some cam gears and a fuel pressure riser. then try to get it on a dyno
I would also inquire to your local shops on where you might get a port and polish done on the head and intake and throttlebody, if you are going all motor this will help, then weigh your options on getting the crank knife edged. but i think the port and polish would be good. also, do you have any management computers? v-tec controller, fuel controler and such? Also things to look at. Hmmmmm, new cam lobes, a chip for the computer, higher compression pistons. well tht is what i can think of for now, good luck!!!
definitlely get vtec controller and cam gears and adj FPR
get rid of ur power steering and dyno tune u can easily hit 170hp to the wheels
if u have enough, port and polish and hi compression pistons like JDM ITR pistons
or USDM pistons

Yeah I am kinda of leaning towards sending my head out to be done. I have been talking with PYR and Skunk2 about getting it done. PYR quoted me 950 with springs and ret. and Skunk2 said about 800. Anyone else have any other suggestions.
ITR exhaust cam @300 so you have a full set
Camsprockets @200 so you can tune the cams
Ported T/B 64mm @200 so the t/b is matched to the skunk2 manifold
Fuel pressure riser @150 cause the sk2 manifold and t/b flows more air
Reprogram ecu @250 mugen/spoon/sk2/custom I take my gsr to 8500 on
stock internals no problem
Dyno @150 tune your sprockets/timing/fuel riser
i dont think you really need springs and retainers unless you are reprogramming your ecu to redline at 9000rpm or run FI...plus you have to take off and send your head to a shop and you will lose your car for like 2-4 weeks

yeah i say save up for the turbo at 1200.00 you almost half way there
Personally, I'd get my engine rebuilt with stronger internals.

buy a turbo with the money.. and an intercooler.. then start piecing togetehr the rest of the turbo kit over the next several months.. and your all set for power!

Wait one more year and get Turbo. The best investment for speed ever. It may require more then that but if work is paying for most of it GO FOR IT!!!!
