Default h22 on 93 civic si vtec not kicking in

pls. help dont no what to do
h22 on 93civic si w/ p28 ecu repropram for dohc engine
wiring ok no engine code and perfect idle....my vtec not kicking in
any help will do

Do you have the pressure solenoi hooked up? If all of the electrical is correct, then I would start looking through the mechanical side of things.

oil pressure guage? check the pressure

and check the vtec solenoid...could be bad

start diagnosing with voltmeter to see if it comes on from ECU end when driving. If not do check diagnostics, i.e. coolant temp, oil pressure, TPS @ WOT, speed sensor input, etc. IF ecu is fine, check for oil pressure at solenoid. before that jsut give solenoid +12v to hear it click.

i just change the oil sending unit still no vtec......Q: i unplug the vtec solenoid with the car running didn't throw any code(grey plug) is der something wrong w/ dat
