Good rebuild kit for sohc motor?
i want to rebuild the motor in my 93 ex, is there a good rebuild kit out there, what goes bad on these motors, what should i look for, what should i replace? Im going low budget, and im going to put puttin a turbo on with 10psi.
i would rebuid it with
-new bearings
-new rings
-have cylinders honed
-maybe lower compression pistons(much better for turbo)
-thicker headgasket(cometic or greddy brand)
-shot-peen the rods (relieves stress, stronger rods
-do a valve job on the head, maybe port/polish it mildly if your feeling ambitious
-change all the seals(front/rear crank seals, cam seals, etc)
-port intake if you want, would be good for turbo,
-bigger throttle body possibly
slap a turbo on that thing, set up a good fuel managment setup(uberdata or hondata=the best way, or a rising rate FPR if your feeling cheap)

You do not need sleeves to run 10 psi. If anything, worry about the rods.
