Default CLUTCH??

My clutch peddle has no pressure behind it, the clutch will not engage and it just revs, i can turn the car on, move the shifter etc, what is wrong with my car? did my clutch go or is it a pressure plate? i dont know anything about clutches other than how how to drive it, and i know clutches dont last forever and this is my first stick car so i probably didnt drive it the best but it shouldnt have done this, 90 000 mi, 92 Si

probably have a leak in your master or slave cylinder. Look by the pedals on the firewall. If you see fluid coming down the firewall where the clutch goes through, its the master, otherwise probably the slave. Often fail when it gets cold.

Your slave cylinder is shot, Clutch master cylinder may be shot. You are getting air into you hydraulic line from the clutch master cylinder to the slave somewhere. Examine both, if either or is gone bad you will see one of the two leaking.

mine has a little fluid leaking, very slow though. better get that fixed, this kind of reminded me of it. you might as well replace both of them anyways, just in case. better safe than sorry. i think i'm gonna do that this weekend.
