You may have messed up the clutch. They same thing happened to me, when I changed the master cylinder the clutch action was not as good. It may need to bleed better or the slave cylinder could be going bad

Yeah, I replaced my master and slave and had to bleed the daylights out them.
Also check the lock nut on the back of the master. It may need to be adjusted.

you probably have air in your system, first off, bleed it - open the bleeder nipple at the slave cylinder (at the transmission) allow to gravity bleed for a little while, make sure the reservoir does not go empty. close the bleeder. get somebody to help you pump the pedal. and than have him/her hold the pedal down. now you open the bleeder. repeat this process when u see a steady stream of fluid come out. and again, make sure the reservoir does not go empty. and for fluid, ur car uses DOT 3 brake fluid. dont get this on paint, if it does, rinse it well with water.

but if that does not fix the problem than your slave cylinder is probably hooped. after years of use, the seals have carved a larger bore. so when its hot it seals (metal expands). so in this case, u live in a cold climate, the slave is not able to create any or very little pressure.
