Crank pully TDC? Same as timing belt drive pully TDC?

I suppose you could look at it that way. What are you trying to do?

to put it on, both the camshaft gear and the crank pully and the timing belt drive pully have to be at tdc for it to time right, i was just wondering because it says to set the timing belt drive pully to tdc then put on the lower cover (d16y8) and put on the crank pully and set THAT to tdc also, well i was just wondering wouldnt it be the same position as the timing belt drive pully since they attach by way of a little metal "key" so technically they should be the same right?
yes.
The way I do timing belts is this........
put the timing belt over all pulleys, gears, etc.....
put bottom cover on. Pull belt off of the cam gears, line up crank pully at TDC on cover, line up cams at TDC, and then slide belt over.
This way, you can remove the belt from the cams without even touching anything on the bottom 1/2. Line upo the TDC mark on the crank pulley and that's good

yes,the white mark on the crank pulley, when lined up with the marker on the timing belt cover is the same as the indented line on the crank cog being lined up with the pointer on the block.i always use the line on the cog and block to line it up when doing a timing belt, though.

You really sound like you should get a Helms manual to walk you through this one. Replacing your timing belt isn't something you should tackle if you don't really know what you're doing.
Try a search and see if you can find some links to Helms manuals in PDF.
