Most OBD1 and newer Honda/Acura ECU's run a standard 4 wire O2 sensor, of course there are some exceptions: VX, CX, OBB0 1 wire, etc. Chances are that the ECU you will be using will require a 4 wire O2 which you can use from near any Honda/Acura or even an aftermarket one of that type. Neither the OBD style nor the primary/secondary of the sensor affect which one you can use, only the type (4 wire, 1 wire, etc.) to match what the ECU looks for.

It shouldn't be necesarry to switch since they should both be 4 wire O2's, either one will work.

I don't think the dx is a 4 wire o2. Aren't the 4 wire o2's only on the VTEC equipped engines? You're gonna need the 4 wire o2 though for sure.

The DX uses a 4 wire O2. Basically from 92-95 Civic's, the only O2's that weren't 4 wire were the VX and CX. The 96-00 Civic's all had 4 wire O2's except the HX. Most OBD0 all use single wire O2's.
