can i use the wiring harness off my 96 vtech, in a 91 dx hatch back
i recently swaped a 96 d16y8 in my 91 civic dx, and i've riged the old wiring harness to work but it isnt pretty and vtec isnt hooked up, Can i put the wirning harness from the d16 in my car, do i have to change the ecu or is it even possible,

What are you using for an ecu? are u running it obd-0 obd-1 or 0bd-2? If i were u i would run it obd-1 with a conversion harness.

curently i am using the obd-0 ecu and the obd-0 harness, but i want to use the obd-2 harness, its a 96 vtec harness. so can i just change the ecu or is there a conversion harness i can get?

my mistake i think i want to use a obd-1 not an obd-2, whatever comes on a 96 ex vtec

your screwed. 
the options you have are, to rewire the whole car wich you probably cant do. you could wire the vtec to a switch, you could wire in a vafc, anyone else have any other suggestions?
