Just swapped in a dx motor into my standard now it wont start.
The head on my standard motor was warped so i swapped in a dx motor from a friends hatch and now it wont start everythign is hooked up right. It has a new distributor, cap, rotor, plugs and plug wires. The car cranks but doesnt start. What is the problem?
I replaced the wiring harness, injectors, ecu's andit still wont start. Its gettin fueland spark and the timing is right. Just keeps on cranking but no start
If it had fuel spark and the timing right it would run, go back and check it over again something is wrong. Sorry to be blunt, but if the motor ran before and it was hooked up right it would work.

Cant be 180 out. Only goes in one way and one way only haynes manual even says that. Honda designed it so that it can only go in one way

Have you checked the distributor rotor and made sure the screw didn't fall out. You will still get spark but it will be intermittent when you pull a plug to check that you have spark it will appear to be just fine while the rotor is freewheeling. I got baffled by this once and usually look there first for not wanting to start conditions. Check over your grounds as well.

ZC distributor shaft I mean housing obviosly fits one way, ZC distributer can be put in 180 out. And many vehicles can be put in 180 out, you would be surprised how many nostarts can be attributed to that. I don't have my old DX distributer laying around to check what you said. But I still have my old engine.

If it has no compression it obviously could not have been running befoire he put it in his car. And he said it was. That is my point.
