Go with a hondata S-100.. chipped ECU's can lead to many problems, and bad gas mileage

What you need is a P72 ecu for your GSR engine.

UNLESS you're talking about an ITR engine, and in that case, a chipped P28 will work fine for you.

I like Hondata, but unless you're willing to pay for major dyno tuning time, there is no benefit to just buying the Hondata and a baseline chip.

If you're interested in more info or what I have available, PM me and we'll discuss it.

B18C is a JDM Integra Type R motor. Most people just forget to put the 1 at the end, which is a GSR motor. Which one are you getting?

Yeah B18c can be ITR or GSR. As for the chipped P28. Most people choose to run it on swaps because they are fairly cheap and readily available. If you run one, I would recommend the Skunk2 program, VAFC, FPR, and dyno tuning so that it performs well.

unless you are planning on changing the IM out for a skunk2 i would highly recomend NOT getting a chipped P28. you will have no way to activate the IAB and you will lose a good bit of midrange. if you go with the skunk mani you will be fine running a chipped ecu though.

just look for an obd-1 p72 if you dont want to change the IM. then you will have to buy a jumper harness to run it obd-1 also.

and if you do buy a chipped p28 and skunk mani. remeber that on a gsr the low end cam stops making power in the 4400 range. so you dont want a chip with a vtec x-over of much higher than that unless you have a vafc or fields vtec controller to lower it down to 4400.

Not true anymore. I have modified p28's to run the IAB with no problems.

If you dont plan on switching out your stock intake manifold w/ a skunk2 or jg manifold, and if your motor isnt really modded, I dont recommend running a chipped p28 on a b18c1 (GSR). I would run a stock p72 obd1 ecu to run your secondaries in your stock intake manifold. If you run a chipped p28 on a basically stock motor, then you run the chances of actually losing horse-power. A chipped p28 (depending on the programs available) have advanced a/f curves, thus causing a more agressive power ban. If you dont have the cams/modifications to back up the fuel its dumping, your just going to run rich, and your car wont run as good as it would on a stock ecu. If you do plan on doing some hardcore mods, that need some hard core tuning, then I do recommend going with hondata. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me

thanks
Jason
