Default Will a stock p28 ecu work on a B18c

Do i need to get a chipped p28 ecu or will a stock p28 workon a jdm B18c gsr?

i have a heard of people using a p28 ecu on all B-series, but i dont know if you need to get it chipped.

A chipped P28 with the right fuel/ignition maps will run any honda/acura engine.
A stock P28 I wouldn't trust for anything more than starting the car (breifly) with a B-series.
