Default Chipped ECUs on a B18c

If you have a GSR motor on the STOCK manifold and u get a Chipped P28, how will it work with the Secondaries?. In looking at some of the stats of many of the programs on the market, they average Vtec ingagement at around 4400. So does that mean that vtec will kick in from to 4400 to redline right?, but what about the secondaries?.

You'll need a gsr ecu, not sure if they get chipped or not though. Its needed to control that 2nd butterfly, at least I'm fairly sure of this. Wait for more feedback though.

A chipped ecu would work, but it wouldn't control your secondaries. You could hardwire your secondaries open if you wanted....

There are a couple ecu's out there that still control the IAB in P72s. XS was the one a long time ago... and most chips are just copies of that... JUN might have one... Other than that... Hondata, obviously.

If you are getting a Skunk2 manifold, why bother with a chip now? It's not going to do much of anything anyway.
