Comp. Test results....??
Well, i warmed the motor up and got these numbers...
1- 160
2- 150
3- 150
4- 160
I decided to go ahead and drop a small cap-full of oil into the cylinders to see how that would affect the numbers. This is what i got..
1- 210
2- 220
3- 210
4- 240
I know the car should smoke for a little while to burn off the oil, but it is just smoking profusely and wont stop. I did the test to see if i had blown my headgasket, but now i'm worried about the rings
What do you think?
BTW, the motor is a 9.5:1 compression b16

Thats what i was wondering, if he did the test because it was smoking, and you added a little oil and it got higher numbers, that generally points to worn rings. However, my bone stock 10.2:1 B16 only makes 180-185 all across, so a 9.5:1 at 160 psi sounds about right....
