This is pissing me off. Ive been looking through the tranny section of my Helms for hours. I need to know how many bolts hold the tranny the the engine in a GSR. These are those big huge bolts that are called "Transmission Mounting Bolts" in the Helms. I dont need any smart *** answers like "count them" heh because the tranny and engine are 30 miles away from me at my engine builder and I would if I could. He says Im missing some and I need to know how many there should be. However of course the Helms could not just tell you. I would also like to know the size of these bolts too if possible. diamater x thread x length
1.) how many
2.) size
TIA!

off the top of my head...3 bell housing bolts on top front, starter 2 bolts on top rear. Bottom rear 3 b.h. bolts, like 5 more bolts alongthe flywheel shield.... think that's it.
Well I believe there are 7 bell housing bolts the same size, the 2 from the starter are unique from all the rest, 2 that hold the shield on are smaller than allthe rest, 2 are short, but bigger in diameter. That is from my reccolection only....not definate. Hope it possibly helps.
Only the long skinny starter bolt acts as a "mounting' bolt for the tranny, the other simply holds the starter in place.

the only "mounting bolts" i remember are three in front of the starter and one behind it.
look at #8 on 13-5 in your helms...those are the only mounting bolts. the rest are for mounts. but i do not know the size.
