Size of tranny bolts?
While getting ready to mount my block to an engine stand i realized i had no tranny bolts. Are similar sized bolts (for mounting only) available from home depot or some place similar?
Anyone know the specifics of these bolts? thread pitch/length/anything else i might need to know...
thanks,
brian

I asssume this is for a B-series motor. If so, the bolt size is 12x1.25mm and I think about 65-70mm long. The bolt head is 17mm.
Many people use stock transmission bolts to hold the engine to the stand. I picked up a few bolts from ACE Hardware a while back for like $2. They are a little longer and have held up just fine.

Biggie is definitely right....as if he needs anybody else for credibility.
They are fine thread. 1.25 is considered fine thread for such a large bolt size. Typical thread is 1.5. Coarse thread is 1.75 for M12 bolts.

Exactly what I did, grab em from ACE, plus I got 90mm long just to be sure, and also add some anti-seize if this block is going to be on the stand/worked on for a while.
