Type R LSD

Hey people, jus wonderin if a Type R LSD would fit in my LS tranny? Or would it be easier if I jus got a Type R tranny? And is a GSR throttle body better then a Type R on my 96 LS. Need some info on what to do cuz I want to be runnin at least low to mid 9s in the 1/8 mile. Runnin 10.00 right now. What should I do? Thanks for the help! Want to go all motor and NO NOS or Turbo!!!!!! Thanks.

if im not mistaken, an itr lsd will NOT mount up to a ls block....

It should work just fine. If you don't get a ring gear with your ITR LSD, you'll need to swap your LS unit onto it. Remember, this doesn't alter your final drive ratio.

It should work and not alter the gearing in any way...

For starters, get rid of your LS tranny and their long *** gears.

Shorter gears = better = ITR tranny.

If you were really serious about it and had a GSR tranny to trade in hand. You could jump on my ITR tranny setup (4.785 FD, Kaaz LSD, Exedy Clutch, Fidanza Flywheel). Ive already got an offer sitting on the table, but there has been no down payment so it'll be up in the air to all bidders until then.

What you be asking with a GSR tranny +...? For the ITR tranny? -
