paintless dent removal
I've heard it works Very well and is an inexpensive alternative to "Real" body work. I got a quote from "Dent Wizard" for 400-500 bucks for a bunch of little door dings. In contrast, a real body shop quoted me $2000 that same day. Gee...which is the better deal???
I'm going to try it as soon as i have some money.

got it done to my civic when the sec. at my job backed into my rear quarter panel, can't even tell there was a dent there. it costed me a 100 buks can't beat that. i don't have any pics but i can say that she dented my car pretty good right at the bodyline i really didn't think they were gonna be able to fix it so when i brought it too them and picked it up i was all smiles when i first saw it.
I am into body work, and most body shops prefer use of PDR becuase it is quicker and does not require the use of paint or filler. I am saving to invest in a set of PDR tools (which are expensive) and teach myself how to do it. What I suggest is go to your local Honda/Acura dealer and ask them if they have a PDR guy that does work for them. Find out what day/time he comes in, go to him and instead of going through the company he works for, ask him if he is willing to do a side job. I got quoted $1000 from the company to do my whole car. I went to him and he said he would do the whole thing for $250 on a side job. (he worked for Dent Wizard)
Thanks for the response guys! i'm really excited! i heard if it was close to a bodyline that would be difficult to correct....but i'm gonna check it out! tomorrow at lunch, i'm planning on meeting a guy to estimate my dent repair cost...
woohoo!
woohoo!
Depends, but most should be 95% correctable even then. Had one from a rock on the nose of my G2 teg some years
ago, in between the lights, just where the slope started, and it was 98% gone afterwards.
I've been using them for 10 years or so, but am trying to avoid ever needing them with my G3 GSR.

when i bought my gsr new from the dealer it had 4 or 5 dents in it from careless salepeople opening doors and **** like that. the used a paintless dent remover and it 10 minutes literally it was done and free of charge. the dents where creased as well. u cant even tell they where there
I agree, PDR kick ***...
I had it done one time, and the guy uses a fluroescent light to check and make sure the dent is gone, he uses the light to ensure that the surface is smooth by looking at the shadow, if there's any imperfection, he can see shadow, otherwsise there wouldn't be any reflection emitted form the light at all...

on a hot day, really hot. like, when u touch ur car is its hot to the touch.
just get dry ice and put it on the dent. and withen seconds, the dent will pop back to its original shape, you know, before it was a dent.

I had this done for me a few times while I worked at ford. if it isn't a big dent they drill a really small hole in your door sill, stick a long hammer thing in there and carefully tap out the dent from the inside, plug the hole and it is done.
I quit having it done because it seemed like every time I would have him do it 2 days later I would get one (and only one) 4 years later and I still only have one ding? something fishy cause I pick the tightest spots in the lots

I recomend it though if you want to get them removed!
