popping/clicking noise ??
been getting this popping/clicking noise latley. seems whenever i put load on the car (either step on or off the gas), i hear the pop/click noise comming from the front right wheel. only happens when starting from a standstill or whlie moving slowly and putting on load. not when standing and reving in neutral or when moving consistantly. this started happening like months ago but i would only hear the popping noise once a week or somthing. been slowly getting worse and now it's at the point where almost whenever i put load on the wheels i hear that noise comming from the front right. i don't feel anything wrong with the car, it works perfectly fine, just the noise. what could it be? bearings? axel?

It certainly does.
It certainly does.
One thing to note, mine is happening on the right side. It so happens my driveway is somewhat steap, and I pull into it to the right. I wonder if doing that every day has cause it to go bad early...
If it is the CV joint, I guess I'll wait for it to get really bad before replacing it since thats probably not covered under warantee.

Drag racing/launched/wheel hop will abuse them the most. Clicking/popping noises are a classic symptom of a bad CV joint. It could be something else, but with only 48k miles on his car I'd doubt it. A CV will not be covered under warranty. The OEM replacement is over $200 IIRC.. but there are cheaper aftermarket versions of course.
-Dave, who is lucky to have both original halfshafts still working fine at 75k..

lol. Thats probably it. I've gone through some massive glovebox dropping wheel hop a few times. I also like to show off making the tires bark going into 4th and 5th. Probably not the best thing for the car

Sounds about right -- axles at the dealership are a rip off. I just replaced my driver's side axle. Paid $60 for the new one, plus a little cash to have a firnd put it in. MUCH less than the dealership would have charged for just the axle itself

my clicking went away when I had my front left wheel bearing replaced at ~40,000 miles.
the clicking is back and I have plans to replace both front wheel bearings over the winter.

Just talked with a friend who's a senior tech at honda. he's said it's somthing with the cv joint connecting to the axel (forgot all the technical stuff he said). But he said take it back to acura, it's covered under the powertrain waranty

there's a way to check, go to a empty parking lot at night, doing circle, you dont have to do the burnout and mad drifting ****, just put a load of one axle, so you can tell which axle actually going bad, but you still have to change both if one side is bad.
the basic idea=putting a load on axle at corner, if the axle is bad, there's clicking sounds(ballz getting squeezed)

Mine doesn't click like this. If you have your foot off the gas, you can turn at mach1, and still no click. It only clicks when you hit the gas or let off of the gas quickly.

You definitely do NOT need to change both axles if one is bad.
