Default Oxygen Sensor Removal

I have a eg dx civic. And my o2 sensor is fouled up. And I'm trying to remove it. But for some reason it's not even coming loose. Kinda of like its stuck. I'm using the socket that is used to pull o2's out. But still it's not loosing up at all. Does anyone know a method or something I should try to do and see if it works? Thanks

spray it down with penetrant. give it some time to soak in. do it several times if you feel like it. try again. still no go then leg press it. foot stronger than arm

Also do it while the car is warm. Heat expands the metal so that it will come out easier.

i just did mine on .i have a dc header so the o2 is in the collector. it was so much easier to just remove the header. 9 bolts up top and 2 at the bottom.it was imposible for me to get the leverage to break it lose anyiother way.

some unholy force was holding my O2 sensor in my stock manifold when I was putting my dc header on. I just said to hell with it and got a new one from NAPA. I figure 75K miles on the motor, a new O2 sensor wouldn't hurt anyway

<---- Lazy way out....I know

i was not able to get my o2 sensor off my stock manifold, and i sprayed it, heated it, and used a wrench with a pipe over it as a breaker. i just wound up buying another one cause mine had like 130,000 miles on it. just dont get a bosch universal one- thats what i got and i get o2 sensor codes- i think it broke already if using spray- make sure its pb blaster, cause that **** puts wd-40 to shame
