This might be a newbie question but is the Thermal R & D exhaust extremely good for boosted cars, or the some huge coincidence. Ive seen that alot and whats the difference if it does.

I think it's mainly because it also comes in 3" diameter besides the 2.25" for NA cars.

my 3" turbo exhaust is loud. but the spool of the turbo is even louder
overall, the loudness doesnt really bother me, until i get on the highway of
course, then the constant noise drones me out.

My thermal (above) was as loud as ****, I sold it on and went back to stock last week. It is a beautful build quality but far too loud. I stuck it out for a year but at highway speeds it is just too loud even over 500w of sounds. I dont know what the stealth sys is like but the regular one is well noisy.

Well mine looks like its pretty loud just sitting in my room lol G/F was suppose to go turbo but decided not 2 so i have a super nice exhaust sitting in my room. I went with the Apex N1 that thing is pretty darn loud i mean it has a very nice sound in vtec & im sure it will sound nice with a supercharger on. Which is coming this weekend woo hoooo not alot of power but its reliable all that matters to my everyday driver. Later but remember below THERMAL TURBO EXHAUST FOR SALE!

Did you have the classic or stealth? I believe the classic can get loud.
Did you use the full catback piping or just the axelback muffler? I cant tell for sure but your resonator looks like stock. The resonator on my thermal stealth is much larger than stock and it keeps things muted and deep, never offensive. I like mine, and havent considered any other exhausts.

I have just got mine installed yesterday. I love it, it has that deep tone to it, it's louder than my stock muffler but not loud like the other aftermarket mufflers, the loudness could be compared to apexi ws muffler, i'd way it's not louder than ws.
I've got the Universal Stainless Muffler which is 18'' long, the inlet is 2.5'', outlet is 3'' and oval shape not the usual round shape, it doesnt have a shiny tip so it looks completely stock until wot. I have AEM CAI, Dc sports ss 4-2-1 header, carsound cat and custom 2.5 piping. I had a ractive muffler before which was unbearably loud especially on highway. This one is a straight through muffler, very good on bottom end, flows much better than what I had.
Overall, I'm completely satisfied with its quietness, sound and flow.

PS: I'll take a picture of it, and post it here soon.

yeah, there's a huge difference in the tone between a universal muffler and a catback. A Catback will show you what a deep tone ought to sound like

This is the whole catback with a universal muffler.
aem cai, dc ss header, carsound cat, 2.5 piping and the thermalrd muffler.
It's quiet but growls like a bear when you step on it.

Doh, then you missed out on benefits of the Thermal tubing and resonator. The bends on the B pipe are exquisite and the resonator keeps the sound DEEP. I believe that's the main difference between the Classic and Stealth.

I hear the turbo version has a 3" down pipe and its hella loud

I have a stealth and share the same views with modifyem. Deep sounding and never offensive while sitting inside or standing outside the car. I guess you can say it does sound like the Apexi WS. Though my Apexi is on my maxima, its similar.
